He is board certified in the practices of radiation and laser safety. He is active in professional societies promoting the development of future generations of radiation professionals and encouraging students to get more involved. As well, he actively participates in the creation of laser safety policies in the United States through his involvement in the American National Standards Institute’s Z136 series.
