Neurodiversity refers to the different ways the brain can work and interpret information. It is estimated that between 15% and 20% of the population of the UK is neurodiverse, a term which describes a range of conditions including difficulties with attention, memory and impulse control as well as longer-term conditions like Autism, ADHD and dyslexia.

As awareness of neurodiversity grows, it is important for workplaces to look at how they can support neurodiverse individuals to thrive. This webinar will include practical support and guidance for employers and colleagues. We will explore:

Dr Beverley Flint

Dr Beverly Flint is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 17 years working in the NHS and more recently with HelloSelf. Dr Flint received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2006, after which she practised up until 2017, overlapping with her growing passion to support staff mental wellbeing. From 2016 onwards Dr Flint developed her expertise in employee mental health at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, while launching C&I Wellbeing, providing workshops to organisations on a range of mental health and wellbeing topics, on behalf of the Trust. Most recently Dr Flint has combined her passion for employee wellbeing and Clinical Psychology expertise as a Director of Workforce Psychology at HelloSelf.
Dr Lisa Debrou
Clinical Director @Leathes Psychology
Dr Lisa Debou is a clinical psychologist registered with the HCPC and chartered with the BPS. In her role at Helloself she is the Clinical Director for Leathes Psychology, which is a Helloself company. The clinic offers a wide range of therapies for both adults and children, in addition to assessments for adult ASD and ADHD. Dr Debrou has worked in both the NHS and private sector as a psychologist in leadership roles. Her therapeutic modalities include ACT, CBT and schema-focused therapy.
Dr Maria Tucknott
Senior Clinical Psychologist @Leathes Psychology
Dr Maria Tucknott is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Care & Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). Dr Tucknott has over 15 years’ experience working in NHS mental health settings and specialises in depression, anxiety and trauma. Within her NHS role, she also carried out autism diagnostic assessments after completing her ADOS training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. In 2021, Dr Tucknott joined Leathes Psychology (a Helloself company) and in 2022 she left her NHS role and now works solely in the private sector. Dr Tucknott’s role with Leathes Psychology includes individual therapy (using ACT, CFT and EMDR) and carrying out Autism Diagnostic Assessments.
Melanie Francis
Chartered FCIPD, Founder @Neuroinclusive HR
Mel Francis, Chartered FCIPD, is an accomplished HR Director with over 25 years’ experience gained in the public, private and not for profit sectors. Mel has gained her significant experience working in the HE, Edtech, Publishing and Telecoms sectors. Mel is also Mum to a brilliant neurodivergent son and, following his diagnosis, she sought to increase her awareness and knowledge of neurodiverse conditions. To this end, she has been taught by Professor Amanda Kirby, a globally renowned neurodiversity specialist and achieved a qualification in neurodiversity. As a neurodiversity champion and trainer, Mel now takes every opportunity to increase awareness and appreciation of the brilliance of neurodiverse talent and supports organisations to become neuroinclusive throughout the employee lifecycle. She is a regular guest speaker, trainer and podcast contributor and her regular content shares on LinkedIn are well received
