The Center for Native Futures Mound Summit is a new biennial symposium that facilitates conversations around the theme of Native and Indigenous futurisms. From the vantage point of a metaphoric effigy mound, artists, thinkers, and poets are asked to imagine our creative futures.

The Chicago-based Center for Native Futures is a newly formed nonprofit for Natives in the arts and was founded by Debra Yepa-Pappan, Chris Pappan, Monica Rickert-Bolter, Andrea Carlson, Patrick Del Percio, and River Kerstetter.

CfNF's Mound Summit is funded by the Terra Foundation for American Art, and is part of Art Design Chicago, an initiative of the Terra Foundation for American Art exploring and elevating Chicago’s rich art and design histories and diverse creative communities through exhibitions, events, and publications.
