In her talk, artist Blythe King shares the process of transforming copies of photographs, as well as copies of drawings, images and text from magazines and books, into transparent layers within collage and painting.
Spectators will see a variety of methods of using safe, non-toxic adhesives to manually transfer images, with a focus on visual narrative, contrast, composition, and repurposing materials. We’ll also look at how other modern and contemporary artists incorporate image transfer into their work
