Three highly experienced neutrals, former CA Supreme Court Justice Ming Chin, Hon. Winifred Smith of the Alameda Superior Court, and Mark LeHocky, Esq. a former public company general counsel and voted 2022 Mediator of the Year for San Francisco by the Best Lawyers in America, will discuss the recent decision in Viking River Cruises, Inc. v. Moriana, and how this ruling will change the dispute resolution landscape in relation to PAGA and Class Action matters. Going beyond discussion of the decision itself, these mediators will consider possible reactions and responses to the decision, suggest ways to draft arbitration provisions moving forward, and discuss practical considerations and strategies for mediating PAGA claims based on their own experience and trends they foresee.
