Fredy González, PhD
: Fredy González is an Associate Professor of Global Asian Studies and History at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the author of Paisanos Chinos: Transpacific Politics among Chinese Immigrants in Mexico. A Spanish translation of Paisanos Chinos is forthcoming from Mexican press Palabra de Clío. He is a heritage speaker of Spanish and fluent in Mandarin Chinese. In 2016, he was a Fulbright Scholar in Taipei, Taiwan.
