Community Dialogue - Trucking Industry Workforce Opportunities for Veterans

Travis Wynes, CEO of Mobile Transportation Services, a fleet maintenance provider based in McDonough, was appointed by the American Trucking Association in March to lead a nationwide task force focused on addressing one of the major challenges of the industry, the shortage of technicians to keep trucks on the road. One approach to this shortage is helping military veterans to get connected with our nation’s fleets and providers. Travis chairs a task force that is building a process and recommended practice to aid with the transition for military veterans into rewarding roles within the trucking industry supply chain. This task force was created by the Technology and Maintenance council which supports the American Trucking Association.
