This training will provide staff with information and skills that can be used to improve the systems and protocols that allow their organization to efficiently communicate during a disaster. The 1-hour long webinar will equip staff with:

1. An understanding of the common challenges associated with crisis communications that typically arise during a disaster,
2. Tips to developing a comprehensive communication plan that complies with Federal and state laws, and
3. Enhanced knowledge of ways that staff can best coordinate with partner organizations in their region, state, or local areas.

The training will provide an overview of best practices in communication considerations with various partners during a crisis, including local healthcare partners, government partners, NGOs, and patients.

This series is made possible by grant funding by the Centene Foundation for Quality Healthcare and is hosted by Healthcare Ready in partnership with the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved.
