Salem Remembers: Connecting Past and Present
In partnership with PEM, the Salem-based nonprofit Voices Against Injustice remembers the 1692 Salem witch trials and the individuals central to this story.

The extraordinary crisis involved more than 400 people and led to the deaths of 25 innocent men, women, and children. September 22, 1692, marks the date of the last round of executions before the tide of public opinion turned and the trials began to subside. More than 300 years later, the complex drama of the witch trials and its themes of oppression, systemic injustice and individual and collective responsibility seem strikingly relevant today.
