Corrosion Under Insulation Research and Innovation Webinar
Join the ACA's Oil & Gas Technical Group for the next Webinar as part of our CUI Best practice series - this time focusing on CUI Research and Innovation. This webinar will feature two fantastic guest speakers, Dr Thunyaluk (Kod) Pojtanabuntoeng will speak on some of the Recent Developments in CUI Research from Curtin Corrosion Centre and joining us from the UK, Dr Prafull Sharma, Chief Technology Officer of CorrosionRADAR will join us to discuss Corrosion Under Insulation Risk Analytics with Monitoring Systems using Electro-Magnetic Guided Radar (EMGR). Earlier this year, CorrosionRADAR won the Materials Performance (MP) / Association for Materials Protection and Performance (formerly NACE) Corrosion Innovation of the Year Award for its ground-breaking Predictive Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) Monitoring System – a next generation technology solution that is transforming the global response to the enormous industrial challenges created by CUI.

Dr Thunyaluk Pojtanabuntoeng
Senior Lecturer @Curtin Corrosion Centre
Dr Thunyaluk (Kod) Pojtanabuntoeng is a Senior Lecturer at the Curtin Corrosion Centre, WASM-MECE, and the corrosion education lead. She is currently working with industry partners on corrosion under insulation (CUI) and has an interest in innovative strategies in controlling CUI. Kod also specialises in internal corrosion in the upstream oil and gas production, corrosion monitoring using electrochemical methods both in fields and in laboratory, surface and chemical characterization methods. She has been principal investigators for many industry-funded research projects relating to failure analysis, corrosion and corrosion management predominantly in the oil and gas industry.
Dr Prafull Sharma
Chief Technology Officer @CorrosionRADAR Ltd.
Prafull Sharma currently serves as Chief Technology Officer of UK based CorrosionRADAR Ltd which is bringing innovative corrosion monitoring technologies using Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). CorrosionRADAR invented a predictive CUI monitoring system which is gaining global traction addressing a big issue for the industry. Prafull Sharma brings vast industrial experience especially in digitalisation of corrosion management on which there are several inventions to his credit. Prior to his current role, Prafull worked for General Electric R&D where he developed several sensing and NDT technologies. Prafull obtained his PhD from Cranfield University UK. He has over fifteen years experience in industrial technology development specially for asset integrity and automation in the Oil & Gas industry. He is also credited with over fifteen international patents and innovations.
