Dr. Louis Cornacchia

Louis G. Cornacchia III, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.N.S., Founder & CEO of BiPAD Surgical, has over 20 years of experience in conventional & MIS spine surgery, neurocritical care, stroke management & neurotrauma. He graduated from Columbia College in 1982 & received his M.D. with Honors in Cell Biology from NYU School of Medicine in 1987. He was Chief Resident at UCSD Medical Center, and continued his education with multiple Harvard Business School certificates in Business Analytics, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. He has been affiliated with 8 New York hospitals, most recently Hudson Regional & New York Presbyterian. He's written numerous articles & abstracts and is a Fellow of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is a member of multiple surgical societies/associations. He has developed enhanced instrumentation and new technology for minimally invasive neuro- & spinal surgeries and post-concussion assessments, including the first hand switch for bipolar electrocautery forceps.
