Murray Campbell (Professor Emeritus @University of Edinburgh)
Murray Campbell is Professor Emeritus of Musical Acoustics in the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Edinburgh. His main research activities are concerned with different aspects of the acoustical and musical behaviour of wind instruments. His main research areas include optical measurement of acoustic fields, particle image velocimetry (PIV), wind instruments, artificial lips, input impedance measurements, vortex sound theory, acoustic streaming, and historic musical instruments 
Professor Campbell serves as Cochair of the Technical Committee for Musical Acoustics of the European Acoustics Association, and Associate Editor for Acta Acustica united with Acustica. He is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and has been awarded the Societè Francais d’Acoustique Medaille Etrangère (2000), the ASA Rossing Prize in Acoustics Education (2008) the Institute of Acoustics R.W.B. Stephens Medal (2017), and the ASA Silver Medal in Musical Acoustics (2019).
