Blending Ecology & Landscape Design
In this international webinar, plant designers from Europe and the USA will come together to discuss what it means to blend ecology with landscape design. Panelists will discuss historic and current designers such as Jens Jensen and Piet Oudolf and their inspiration and influence on how we design spaces and think about the intersection of ecology and aesthetics. The panelists will explore goal definition with clients, balancing ecology and aesthetics, project successes and failures, as well as the influential role of maintenance. They will share their experience with public perceptions, best practices for client education, and their design inspiration. Attendees will receive perspectives from designers in Denmark/Europe and well as from designers in the Midwest/USA.
