An introduction to the Economic Abuse Evidence Form – an innovative initiative to support victim-survivors of economic abuse.
The Economic Abuse Evidence Form (EAEF) is an information-sharing tool used by qualified debt advisers to capture and share information about the abuse a victim-survivor has experienced and the nature of the coerced debt. The EAEF provides a quicker, easier and more consistent way for utility firms and debt advice services to support victim-survivors of economic abuse with debts.

This information session provides an overview of the EAEF– the benefits for utility firms and victim-survivors and how your organisation can begin using the form. There is also a chance to ask questions about the EAEF and how it works.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an initiative that supports victim-survivors of economic abuse to regain control of their economic situation. Organisations signing up to the project can access training and a pioneering tool to promote the nationwide agenda to support the most vulnerable customers whilst also supporting staff wellbeing.

“Survivors of economic abuse often have to contact several companies to get help with debt, which can be stressful and upsetting. This new form will make it simpler and we hope it becomes standard across the energy industry and beyond”
Social and Community team, Bulb
