In conversation with Augustas Serapinas, Daniel Gustav Cramer and Haris Epimonanda with
Brief – Augustas Serapinas’s practice primarily deals with heritage preservation employing a
form of appropriation and reuse that affirms cultural traditions as ever evolving. While Daniel Gustav Cramer and Haris Epimonanda work questions the plasticity of the printed books as an art form and the innumerable possibilities of appropriating such material by recycling, overlapping, juxtaposing, remixing, merging or altering them — even to the point that the original material ceases to exist, and in effect shifting the way we view them. The three artists will have an opportunity to discuss theories of archival research approaches to creation in a talk led by the exhibition’s curator Samuel Leuenberger.
