Hongyu Zhou's research lies in the field of scientometrics and sociology of science (computational perspective), where he applies big data analysis techniques to uncover the production, consumption, and diffusion of scientific knowledge. Specifically, his research focuses on the nature and dynamics of interdisciplinary research in social sciences and humanities.
Loet Leydesdorff
Professor Emeritus @University of Amsterdam
Leydesdorff has published extensively in systems theory, social network analysis, scientometrics, and the sociology of innovation (see for a list of publications at http://www.leydesdorff.net/list.htm ).In 2006, he published The Knowledge-Based Economy: Modeled, Measured, Simulated ( Boca Rotan , FL : Universal Publishers). Previous monographs are: A Sociological Theory of Communication: The Self-Organization of the Knowledge-Based Society (2001) and The Challenge of Scientometrics: The development, measurement, and self-organization of scientific communications (1995).
Lin Zhang
Professor @Wuhan University
Lin Zhang is a full-professor at Dept. Information Management of Wuhan university in China and a guest professor at the Center for R&D Monitoring (ECOOM) at KU Leuven in Belgium. She holds a Phd degree of management science, on the topic of quantitative science study. Her research interests include bibliometrics, research evaluation and research policy. She currently services at the international journal of Scientometrics as an associate editor, and editorial board member of Frontiers in Scholarly Metrics and Analytics, Journal of Data and Information Science. She is a board member of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics, and the vice-director of Chinese Association for Scientometrics and Informetrics. She is the Principal Investigator for several national projects funded by National Science Foundation of China.
