Dasvandh Series is the latest addition to the Dasvandh Network online giving platform. The purpose of this series is to spotlight conversations around Dasvandh, Seva and activism with influential members of our Sikh community. As we often highlight philanthropy, we are also seeking to get to know leaders in our community on a deeper level. Our series will explore the ways in which people think through and integrate the ideals of giving and activism into their lives. By leading these conversations throughout the year, the aim of our Dasvandh Series is for our wider community to engage with the concept of Dasvandh and learn more about activism, beyond simply the point of contribution.
In a “coffee chat” discussion with an influential Sikh in the media and entertainment space, Harbani Kohli of Dasvandh Network will facilitate a discussion on the components of ‘Dasvandh’ with CNN Journalist, Harmeet Kaur. The live 45 minute discussion will be viewed as fireside styled chat on Zoom. The discussion will touch specifically on how she views giving back, most from her experience in journalism! We hope this is one perspective that helps to provide a blueprint as to how we as Sikhs can contribute to the greater concept of Dasvandh, one that has been long been ingrained in the earliest origins of Sikhism.
