Find Your Ancestors: Homesteading: Land for All
Join us via Zoom for a virtual genealogical program as part of our annual Find Your Ancestors series.

Homestead application papers are great sources of genealogical information. Application papers often mention family members or neighbors, and previous residence as shown in dozens of documents which may include land application forms, citizenship applications, family Bible pages, marriage or death certificates, notations about military service, newspaper clippings, and affidavits. Also learn about the type of crops planted on the homestead and the value and kinds of the homes and other buildings created onsite.
