Advisory boards can assist in the change process for effective engagement of minority communities. This session will help the team develop an effective advisory board that helps the team assess resources, risks, and consequences of program changes on their communities. Advisory boards can assist treatment courts in better understanding the experiences of participants and community members.
By the end of the training session, team members will be able to:
1. Know how to identify board members and facilitate the discussion.
2. Know how to formulate the discussion questions and length of time to hold the focus group
3. Know how to engage the individuals and how to analyze the discussion content and obtain useful results
