Accessible Movement for the Overcoming MS Community
Do you find exercising and movement too challenging?

Join Dr Veronique Gauthier-Simmons for our next webinar exploring ways to make movement more accessible. Veronique will start with a brief overview of the benefits of keeping active for people living with MS, and then focus on how to make exercise more accessible, safely.

You'll learn how to enhance your mobility, strengthen your body and improve your flexibility on a chair.

We recommend having 2 chairs, a soft belt or theraband and a big towel ready to use. There will be a live question and answer session at the end of the webinar.

As we are unable to cater for all timezones, by registering for this webinar you will automatically be sent a link to the recording of the session.

For any questions you wish to be considered during the live session, please submit them to webinars@overcomingms.org before the 18th April 2023.

Dr Veronique Gauthier-Simmons
Overcoming MS Facilitator
Veronique started yoga when she was diagnosed with RRMS in 2000 at the age of 34. At the time, she was lecturing at UCD Dublin while completing her PhD thesis. Yoga was so beneficial for Veronique that she decided to become a teacher. She qualified in Hatha yoga (2009) and then in Yoga Therapy (2013). Together with her husband, Veronique created Taming the Walrus, which is dedicated to encouraging people with chronic conditions to practice yoga. They now live in the South of Portugal. Veronique has followed the Overcoming MS Program since 2012 and her health and fitness keep improving. Her exercise regime now also includes weight training, swimming and running but she’s always open to trying new exercise.
