Level 2 Online Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training
*Level 1 Certification (live or online) is required for attending this course. Recordings will be available in the Education Portal on the SmartTools website following the session 5*

Level 1 BFR training was focused on basic use, efficacy and protocols for rehabilitation and aerobic capacity training. In level 2 the focus is implementing BFR for those individuals who want to use BFR to improve athletic performance, increase aerobic capacity and improve muscle strength and size to increase an individuals functional capacity.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss the benefits of blood flow restriction training for athletes
2. Compare and contrast BFR for rehabilitation versus BFR for performance
3. Design aerobic capacity training programming for cyclists
4. Design programming for implementing BFR with a usual high intensity training program
5. Implement aerobic capacity training programming for runners
6. Discuss the literature supporting BFR for improving athletic performance

*Level 1 BFR (live or online) is required to participate in Level 2 BFR.*

Topic: Aerobic Capacity Training - cycling, rowing and swimming

Session 5: Tuesday August 31 - 8pm - 9:30pm eastern time
Topic: BFR Augmenting Sports Specific Performance & Integrating BFR with high intensity training
