Time’s Up: The Urgent Need to Appoint Members to Expired Seats on the New Jersey State Board of Education, A Virtual Forum
New Jersey’s 13-member State Board of Education plays an integral role in the state’s education policy. The terms of 11 members of the State Board, including the current president and vice president, have expired. By June 2023, all 13 members will be serving in expired seats. In October, Governor Murphy announced three pro-public education nominees, who have long histories of advocating for children in this state. Yet their appointments linger.

Join Our Children/Our Schools to learn about the role of the State Board of Education and how you can lend your voice to ensuring NJ’s children have a State Board that works for them.
