Dr Joanna Purdy (Public Health Development Officer @Institute of Public Health)
Joanna is a Public Health Development Officer at the Institute of Public Health (IPH), where she works across a wide range of public health issues, including Health Impact Assessment (HIA). In November 2021, the Institute launched the fourth edition of HIA Guidance for Ireland and Northern Ireland, representing the first major update of this all-island guidance since 2009. The Institute is continuing to build on its work in this area and is now launching an introductory online learning module on HIA on its new Public Health Matters app.

Dr Liz Green (Public Health Consultant @Public Health Wales)
Liz is a Consultant in Public Health for Policy and International Health and the Programme Director for HIA at the WHO Collaborating Centre (WHO CC) on ‘Investment for Health and well-being’ Public Health Wales (PHW). She is lead for the International Health Coordinating Centre in PHW and is also Visiting Professor at the WHO CC for &#39;Healthy Urban Environments&#39; at the University of West of England, UK. Liz has extensive knowledge, understanding and practical application of HIA, ‘Health in All Policies’ and spatial planning and provides training, advice and guidance about HIA and other IA processes. Liz has been recognised as a Woman of Influence 2022 by RTPI Planner for her work in Spatial Planning and Public Health.
