Dr Jeremy Lum (@University of Wollongong)
Jeremy is the 2023 recipient of the Bill Gole MND Postdoctoral Fellowship, for his project titled &#39;Identifying drivers that contribute to the loss of neuronal connections in the early stages of ALS&#39;. 

For this State of Play webinar, Jeremy will focus on the novel drug treatment work that he has been undertaking and present on &#39;A three pronged approach to treat ALS&#39;.

Dr Alison Hogan (@Macquarie University)
Alison is the 2023 recipient of the Beryl Bayley MND Postdoctoral Fellowship for the project &#39;The RNA-binding protein SFPQ offers a novel avenue to understand disease mechanisms and identify therapeutic targets in MND&#39;. 

For this State of Play webinar, Alison will discuss the models that are used to study the &#39;Disruption of key proteins in MND’ and will discuss some of the results from the team’s SFPQ and TDP-43 projects.
