A report entitled “The Future of Geothermal in Texas: The Coming Century of Growth & Prosperity in the Lone Star State” will publish after more than a year of multi-disciplinary, cross-collaborative effort by researchers at five Texas universities, the University Lands Office, and the International Energy Agency. The report features fifteen chapters spanning a variety of subjects, from an analysis of the location and quality of Texas geothermal resources, to technology developments and the role of the oil and gas industry, to environmental, regulatory, economic, and legal considerations in the growth of the geothermal industry in the State.
