Shoppers have been on a roller coaster of rapidly changing food needs since early 2020. These varying day-to-day and special occasion disruptions have arguably affected no department in the store more directly than baked goods, in both the aisle and the perimeter areas.
IRI and IDDBA have partnered on Integrated Fresh, a comprehensive view of all items in the store, including both fixed and random weight/non-UPC. This new view is critical, as some bakery categories like cupcakes literally have half of their items merchandised in the baked goods aisle, while the other half are on the perimeter tables. This webinar will walk through the research process that governs this new data set as well as the new 'a-ha's' it uncovers for baked goods.
Join Jonna Parker of IRI as she shares where growth within baked goods is coming from – across both perimeter and in-aisle categories – and the critical roles that baked goods can play in solving consumer needs as we enter this new normal. IRI will share national multi-outlet and regional sales figures from the new Integrated Fresh database, powered in partnership by IDDBA, as well as the latest in consumer survey and shopping behavior trends for all baked goods--packaged and random--in each aisle of the store.
