Effective monitoring of populations in the landscape to assist with optimising outcomes from feral pig control programs is important.
Our final virtual Stakeholder Forum for 2021 will be held on Monday 13 December from 1 pm to 2:30 pm AEDT.
The theme of this forum will be “Monitoring of feral pig populations - maximising value from field camera traps” and will also include an update on our progress with implementing the Plan.
Our invited speakers are Dr Justin Perry, Research Manager at NAILSMA and Chair of our Scientific Advisory Panel, Dr. Andrew Bengsen, Research Scientist at NSW DPI’s Vertebrate Pest Research Unit and member of the NFPAP’s Scientific Advisory Panel, and Chris Gaschk, Natural Resource Management Officer at Western Downs Regional Council, Dalby, Queensland. They will provide their insights on how to best set up camera traps and use the images captured to full effect.
