Artist Talk - Ruhani Kaur
Ruhani Kaur based out of New Delhi, India is a visual journalist. Since 2002, she have been making photo-documentary and multi-media stories. She has largely focused on telling stories of inequities affecting the human condition. Gender and Environment have been a recurring theme of exploration. She was recently granted the National Geographic Covid Grant for her project "Intertwined Destinies" that she is currently working on.

Prior to turning independent, she was a Photo Editor of a weekly news magazine Open from 2008-14. Earlier, she was a photojournalist with a national daily The Indian Express, environmental magazine Down to Earth and First City magazine.

This talk is a part of the Artist Talks segment that is being conducted for the Indian Photo Festival 2021. The Indian Photo Festival (IPF) - Hyderabad, a Not-For-Profit initiative of Light Craft Foundation is India's longest-running international photography festival showcasing a wide range of photography from India and around the globe with a series of events including talks and discussions, portfolio reviews, screenings & workshops.

The IPF 2021 will take place in Hyderabad, from 19th November - 19th December.
