Description

Hemp was fully legalized four years ago, with the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. While this legislation removed cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids derived from hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, it did not fully “legalize” CBD products. Many CBD business owners are still unfamiliar with the 2018 Farm Bill, the Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act and what is and is not legal at the federal level. Similarly, the Oregon hemp industry has taken its own turn in regulating products containing CBD and other cannabinoids.
