Special Education in Washington state
In our free webinar Wednesday, August 24th at 12:30 pm, Dr. Tania May, Washington state Assistant Superintendent for Special Education Services, will share an overview of special education in Washington state focusing on inclusionary practices, myths and facts, and mental health supports.

Dr. May will be joined by Lee Collyer, Director of School Health and Student Safety at the Washington state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), to discuss ending harmful practices of restraint and isolation. Students from across Washington state who are currently accessing special education services will provide feedback and share their experiences in the classroom.

Spanish interpretation and closed captioning in English will be available.

Moderated by League of Education Voters Communications Director Arik Korman.
