Prior to ADSO, Andrew served as executive vice president of government relations & external affairs for Parallel (formerly Surterra Wellness) managing state & federal government relations teams, serving as chief advocate and spokesperson to policymakers and regulators, and leading advocacy and communications goals in the public affairs space. Andrew spent a decade working in government, campaigns, and public policy. In particular, he worked as finance director and senior advisor for Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe overseeing strategy, development, and implementation of a record-breaking $44 million fundraising operation. Emily Vanney, DDS (Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Operating Officer @United Dental Partners (UDP)) Emily Vanney, DDS, is the Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Operating Officer at United Dental Partners (UDP), a general and specialty DSO in Chicago. With over a decade of experience as a general dentist in private and DSO supported practices, Dr. Vanney joined UDP in 2016 and has improved the clinician and patient experience while overseeing clinical operations at all 24 locations. She is proud to be part of an organization that provides dental care for thousands of families each year. Dr. Vanney's clinical skills, operational expertise, and Spanish-speaking ability make her well-suited to serve Chicago's diverse patient population. She is passionate about pediatric and general dental care and dedicated to improving her patients' health and wellbeing. When not working chairside, she supports doctors and teams, ensuring great patient experiences and clinical outcomes. Dr. Vanney attended Loyola University Chicago and received her D.D.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ryan Hurley DDS, MS (Clinical Director of Business Development @Smile Doctors) Ryan attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate studies and the University of Illinois at Chicago for his DDS and Orthodontic residency. He started Hurley & Volk Orthodontics in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago in 2010 with his wife Dr. Tonya Volk. By leveraging systems and a culture of empowerment and service to deliver clinical outcomes and patient experiences, the practice grew to one of the largest private practices in the state with 5 locations and over 50 team members. In 2018, Hurley & Volk Orthodontics affiliated their operations with Smile Doctors, the largest and fastest growing OSO in the country that now supports more than 350 locations across 27 states. Ryan currently serves as the Clinical Director of Business Development for Smile Doctors while pursuing his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
