In Geological Engineering in 2006. Through his professional career, Erkin has worked on multinational projects with international teams – Bechtel, Astaldi, Gulermak, SKEC, Obayashi, John Holland, Leighton, Zublin and currently SMEC. He has involved and worked in mined tunneling, TBM tunneling, various types of ERSS (i.e., slurry trench walls, bored pile walls), underground structures, extensive earth works etc. He has currently finished three cross passages in the sedimentary sands of Karnaphuli river and leading the consultant’s team on pre-commissioning, commissioning and trial run of the tunnel.
