Ann Boyda
Livestock economist @Alberta Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development
Ms. Ann Boyda is a livestock economist at Alberta Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Economic Development with an undergraduate degree in Animal Science, and a Masters of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. She contributes to the AgriProfit$ Research Program with support on the beef component. She has years of experience as an agricultural consultant and has worked to support research programs at the Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency and the Sustainable Forest Management Network. Ann grew up on a mixed farm in the Lamont County and resides in Edmonton with her husband and son.

Manglai has always been passionate about the agriculture industry. For his Master’s thesis at the University of Saskatchewan, he analyzed the impact of management tools on production efficiency on western Canadian beef farms. After completing his Master’s in Agriculture Economics in 2016, he then worked at the Western Beef Development Center doing economic analysis on the cow-calf sector. In his current role as a crop economist with the Alberta Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Economic Development, he is assisting farms in finding their detailed production costs to ensure that they achieve their performance and production goals.
