The aviation industry is an ecosystem made of many interdependent stakeholders, with differing strategies and competing interests. One dependency common to many stakeholders is the utilisation of infrastructure – particularly airport infrastructure. To balance demand and capacity at a strategic level, the concept of airport slots is often used along with the application of a slot allocation process, to distribute these in a fair and transparent manner. These processes have not been designed to accommodate long periods of disruption to aviation, as experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The white paper “Slot allocation amidst COVID-19 recovery” commissioned by the Aviation Studies Institute and produced by IATA, assesses the perspectives of stakeholders across Southeast Asia and aims to support the industry recover in a sustainable and fair manner.
Join us at this Webinar where we will be discussing these topics and putting your questions to members of the aviation industry.
