In 1990 and article in Sloan Management Review asserted that the New Industrial Engineering was the blending of information technology and business process design. Since then, academically at least, ISE, from a BSISE perspective, has still been Human Factors Engineering, Manufacturing Processes and Systems Engineering, and Operations Research.
