Participants will learn about the coverage provided by Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) for AAC equipment and supplies for registered First Nations and recognized Inuit clients.

Denise Dupont is a Policy Analyst at Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). She obtained a Master degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1992, and has worked for over 15 years as a SLP in various locations throughout Ontario and in New Zealand. She first joined the Federal Government in 2017 and worked as a case reviewer on Jordan's Principle, which is a child-first principle for First Nations children. She then joined the Medical Supply and Equipment (MS&E) Policy team as a policy analyst in 2019. MS&E is a benefit of Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB). She oversees the Communication and Low Vision sub-benefits program.
