EM Insights Briefing with The World Bank

Join Ecosystem Marketplace for the second session in our new series of live “EM Insights Briefings” we'll be offering in 2023 on Tuesday, March 28 @ 11 am EST.

This session will be held with World Bank to discuss their upcoming State and Trends of Carbon Pricing report to be launched at Innovate4Climate in May. We'll share how EM Data on voluntary carbon credits (VCM) feeds into this report. This will also be an opportunity to review our organizations' respective work in developing next-generation VCM data systems and tools to drive credibility through high-quality market information.

EM will be joined by:

* Joe Pryor, Senior Climate Change Specialist, World Bank, will discuss elements of last year’s State and Trends of Carbon Pricing report and initial insights on carbon pricing and ETS trends in this year’s upcoming report.

*Chandra Shekhar Sinha, Global Lead for Carbon Markets and Finance in the Climate Change Group of the World Bank, will discuss the Climate Warehouse program which aims to create a end-to-end digital ecosystem for a transparent carbon market.

*Simon Henry, Director of Carbon Market Development at the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), will discuss the latest developments of Climate Action Data (CAD) Trust which is a collaboration between the World Bank’s Climate Warehouse program, the Government of Singapore, and IETA. The CAD Trust a free, open-source global platform that connects, aggregates and harmonizes carbon credit data from project registries to enable transparent accounting of carbon and strengthen the implementation of the nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
