Northern Border - Columbia Gorge & Walla Walla AVA's

Wines being produced along the Columbia River offer a range of styles. Dynamic growing conditions heavily affected by the Cascade Range and the geological history of the region influence the diversity of wines. The Columbia Gorge boasts some of the State's best recreation and wine to pair with it. The Walla Walla Valley overtly straddles state lines: two-thirds of the AVA is in Washington and one-third is in Oregon, wines reflect nature, and do not recognize political borders.
