Countdown to Safeguards Rule Compliance

Effective Dec. 9, 2022, there will be additional technical and administrative compliance requirements for handling customer information. The FTC's new Safeguards Rule requirements include internal penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, use of multi-factor authentication, data encryption, security awareness training, and the performance of written risk assessments.

We previously hosted a webinar with ComplyAuto when the specifics of the revised Safeguards Rules were new to dealers. As the compliance deadline is now very quickly approaching, we asked ComplyAuto to present a follow-up webinar with reminders and last-minute guidance.

The dealership technology experts at ComplyAuto will provide an overview of the complex revisions to the Safeguards Rules. This program will benefit dealers still finalizing their compliance program and be a helpful review for the “Qualified Individual” each dealer must assign to oversee the dealership’s ISP.
