BWA Holistic Mission Guide Webinar Series - 2nd Webinar - New Models of Doing Church - Redux
The Baptist World Alliance developed a Holistic Mission Guide with over fifty articles from around the world in response to the impact of the coronavirus on the mission of the church. This Webinar Series will ensure that Baptists from the around the world benefit from the offerings of the Guide.
The second webinar will guide church leaders and grass root church members through the theme of “New Models of Doing Church.” There will be two presenters for this session along with one story teller. The first presentation will be on "Leading the Church Beyond the Pandemic" by Jerson B Narciso (Philippines) and the second by Lilia Dias Marianno (Brazil) on “Be the Church Outside the Temple”. A story written by Asha Sanchu (Nagaland, India) "Light in the Dark, Tiny Room" will be narrated.

Lília Dias Marianno
Lília Dias Marianno is a researcher, professor, and theologian with a PhD in Epistemology (UFRJ) and a MSc in Biblical Exegesis (UMESP). She has worked in various sectors of the Brazilian Baptist Convention, including the coordination of Christian Education. She is a Fellow Researcher at the Center for Process Studies (CPS) and a member of the board of directors for the Brazilian Association of Biblical Research (ABIB).
Jerson B. Narciso
Jerson B. Narciso is the General Secretary of the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches and a Professor at Central Philippine University.
Asha Sanchu
Nagaland, India
Asha Sanchu’s passion and call is serve God among sexually exploited girls and women. She strives for justice and to economically empower the people she serves. She currently serves as the Director of Miqlat Ministry, a social faith-based ministry under the Nagaland Baptist Church Council in Nagaland, India.
John Chan - Host/Moderator
John Chan is Director of International Ministries working with CBM's global partners and overseeing CBM's field staff contingent.
Brenda Harewood - Host/Moderator
Rev. Brenda K. Harewood currently serves as the President and Superintendent Pastor of the Guyana Missionary Baptist Church-Lott Carey (GMBC). She also serves as Executive Member of the Guyana Council of Churches and Vice -President of the Caribbean Baptist Fellowship. She graduated from Duke University Divinity School where she received her Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology, and from Shaw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion & Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. She also did additional graduate studies at Boston University School of Theology and at the University of Bonn in Germany.
