Harry served for 20 years with the SAS as a Team Commander and specialist before retiring in 2019 from the Australian Defence Force after nearly 30 years’ service. During his career he designed, planned, and led hundreds of combat missions and dozens of sensitive military programs. He completed his time in the SAS as its Director of High-Performance.
Harry is now a practising psychologist and is the founder and CEO of the human performance consultancy Stotan Group, who are committed to assisting businesses and leaders develop their teams. He is also the Oceania Director for the U.S. Mission Critical Teams Institute and holds several advisory board positions.
Harry recently became an author after releasing his memoir Eleven Bats, about his time in the SAS and combat experiences. The book follows 11 deployments over 11 years where he collected 11 bats representing the nearly 1000 days he completed on active service deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Timor Leste, including once being WIA.Harry commits a significant amount of his time to not-for-profit work as the ambassador for both the Wanderers Education Program – a world first program providing education pathways for ‘serving’ soldiers to prepare them and their families for life after service – and The LBW Trust – who provide education opportunities for adolescents in developing nations.
Harry has been married for 25 years to Danielle and has two adult children. He is the singer songwriter for the original rock-band, The Externals.
