Confronting Antisemitism: Religious Grassroots Responses
Join us for an initiated conversation and exchange of experiences of how the faith communities combat anti-semitism on grassroots level. The purpose is to jointly reflect on steps forward in the work on Holocaust remembrance and the fight against antisemitism.

This zoomcast is held in conjunction with the Malmö International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism, Remember ReAct, October 12-13. Heads of state and government, researchers, experts and civil society representatives from around 50 countries Invited by the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven will participate in the Forum.


Imam Yahya Pallavicini is President of COREIS the Islamic Religious Community in Italy, Coordinator of EULEMA the Forum on European Islamic Thought and co-vice-chairman of MJLC the European Muslim Jewish Leaders Council

Johanan Seynave is the Director of Policy of the European Jewish Congress (EJC), the representative umbrella organisation of national Jewish communities in Europe. Prior to joining the EJC, he served as policy adviser at the EU Affairs office of B’nai B’rith International and as Policy Officer for the European Union of Jewish students (EUJS). He recently coordinated the joint recommendations by Jewish civil society organisations on combatting antisemitism and fostering Jewish life in Europe.

Bishop Åke Bonnier oversees the Diocese of Skara of Church of Sweden since September 2012. By Pope Benedict XVI, he has been appointed Knight of the Order of St. Gregory the Great (honorary appointment for ecumenical efforts).

Jakob Wirén is Associated Professor in Systematic Theology and is the theological adviser of Archbishop Antje Jackelén. Jakob Wirén's most recent book is "Give space to the other? Interreligious dialogue, replacement theology and Muhammed as prophet."
