This second of Tony Smith's two-part seminar covering ground taxiway lighting and signage.

The ability to conduct the safe and operationally efficient movement of aircraft and vehicles on the movement area is an essential requirement of aerodrome operations.

Taxiway lighting and signs are major components in all ground movement control and guidance systems and as such they are an essential part of an aerodrome’s AGL system. Like all other elements of the aerodrome AGL they need to be designed, installed and maintained in accordance with ICAO Standards.

This webinar will present the operational requirements for these visual aids and explain how the Standards were established through theoretical studies, laboratory experiments and field trials.
