Since the war began on 24th February 2022, over 5 million Ukrainians have fled their homes for neighboring countries. Most of the refugees are women, children and the over 60s, however, it has been estimated that 2.75 million Ukrainian refugees are of working age, and many require work to help support themselves and their families in a new country.
This sudden influx of refugees has disrupted and created change in the world of work for many countries. Organizations and governments are working hard to create opportunities and support in the short-term, but if the war continues, the long-term consequences grow higher. Currently, nearly 5 million jobs have been lost, it is predicted that if the war escalates, this could rise to 7 million.
During this webinar we will discuss:
• How the war is affecting organizations in CEE
• What changes they have seen and expect to see
• How the labor market has changed and how they have dealt with this
• Initiatives and actions taken to support refugees
