This virtual webinar is intended for all health centers staff leading, managing, or supporting emergency preparedness programs, including executive leaders, clinicians, and others.
The case for enhanced preparedness against disasters - natural and man-made - has never been more clear. To garner strategic or funding support for preparedness activities (including investments in tools, training, partnerships, etc.), executive leaders and staff at all levels must communicate the business case for prioritizing disaster preparedness and response within health center plans and budgets effectively.
Topics to be covered include:
• Overview of emergency preparedness requirements landscape;
• Building the business case for incorporating, planning for, and funding emergency preparedness initiatives;
• Considerations for incorporating activities into strategic priorities and budgets;
• How to speak to leadership to influence/communicate the importance of providing resources to support preparedness planning, etc.
Guest Speaker: Mollie Melbourne, President/CEO, Southwest Community Health Center (Connecticut)
