Understanding what benefits a survivor is entitled to can be confusing. This webinar will provide an overview of the types of benefits a brain injury survivor may be entitled to and what is involved in the application process.
Presenter: Cindy Clarke, President, Tri-State Advocacy Project
Cindy Clarke founded the Tri-State Advocacy Project after her father died from a C1-C2 spinal cord injury in 2002. Before starting this organization, Cindy was a volunteer with the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors and served as the organization’s vice president for several years. Cindy’s interest in this work evolved from the knowledge that navigating the system of healthcare benefits is too complex, and can be overwhelming for patients and their families who are facing a serious illness or injury. The Tri-State Advocacy Project helps patients identify and obtain health insurance and government benefits, assists families in obtaining needed services and supports to help patients to continue living safely in their homes, and sharing information on other community resources. All of the services provided by the Tri-State Advocacy Program are free of charge.
