Defending Our Imperiled Democracy
Webinar Featuring Richard Falk, Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, and Van Gosse

It is no secret that what remains of our already flawed U.S. constitutional democracy is in serious jeopardy. Without it, our efforts to stanch the climate emergency, prevent wars, and to promote social and economic justice will face more than daunting prospects.

The next few years will determine if we can revitalize U.S. democracy, or if the country  will go the way of the Weimar Republic. Gerrymandering, racist  obstacles to voter registration and voting, and the capture of states’ election reporting systems by right-wing extremists place our electoral democracy in peril. Militia violence targeted against elected officials, election officials, the courts compounded by misinformation decreased access to truth make us all vulnerable

Join nationally renowned activist scholars to deepen our understandings of our national crisis and how we can join in defending constitutional democracy.

Richard Falk:  Professor emeritus of International Law at Princeton University, Director of Climate Change Project, former United Nations Human Rights Rapporteur in the Occupied Territories, and a member of the Nation editorial board (video)
