Getting ready for Advance Healthcare Directives under the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015
The National Office for Human Rights and Equality Policy based in Strategy and Research was established to support health and social care services to prepare for the commencement of the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 which is scheduled for commencement imminently. The role of this office is to build the capacity and capability of staff to achieve compliance with human rights policy and legislation.

The Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 provides a legal basis for Advance Healthcare Directives.

The objectives of the webinar are to:
• Stimulate discussion about the legal and practical considerations for Advance Healthcare Directives
• Provide guidance on Advance Healthcare Directives to services and practitioners
• Identify areas of uncertainty and learning needs on Advance Healthcare Directives.
