FEFLOW – Density-driven flow from seawater intrusion to Lithium mining
Join the eighth session of our new monthly webinar series! These FEFLOW-related webinars focus on recurring training for groundwater modellers, geologists and hydrogeologists around the world and will take place on the third Thursday of every month. We will cover a variety of groundwater modelling topics relevant to any audience. Each session consists of 45 minutes of interactive hands-on exercises and 15 minutes of group discussion (Q/A).

In our November installment, you will learn about basic concepts of density-driven flow with application cases from seawater intrusion in coastal aquifers to Lithium mining in hyper-saline environments.

By the end of the webinar, you’ll have a general understanding of:

- How to implement your first project to model density-driven flow

- FEFLOW’s density implementation

- How to utilise different combinations of boundary conditions in your project

- Best practices for discretization

This webinar requires certain knowledge of FEFLOW and its graphical interface. To get the most out of the session, we strongly recommend you complete our no-cost* self-paced course, “FEFLOW Getting started with groundwater modelling (https://www.theacademybydhi.com/course-sessions/feflow---getting-started-with-groundwater-modelling-11600061-72)”.
