Beth Sproule
Clinician Scientist, BScPhm, PharmD @Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
Beth Sproule received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, USA and her BScPhm degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. Dr. Sproule completed a clinical residency and a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Addiction Research Foundation (now part of CAMH). Her clinical research program focuses on addictions, prescription drug abuse, mental health medications and pharmacy practice.
Maria Zhang
Clinician Educator, BScPhm, PharmD, MSc @Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at UofT
Maria Zhang completed her graduate work at CAMH through the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Collaborative Program in Addiction Studies at U of T. The focus of her research and her teaching is substance use disorders, with a specialization in problematic prescription drug use. She is also interested in knowledge translation and supporting the continuing professional development of health care practitioners. She is a regularly contributes to guidance documents for clinicians on the topic of opioid use disorder (OUD) including changes to OUD treatment delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic.
